What you need to know
Pack Ayoub AI correction analyses written and spoken practice according to the criteria used to structure TCF preparation: task completion, organisation, language accuracy, range, clarity, and fluency where relevant.
The feedback becomes useful immediately: select the highest-impact problem, improve the passage or recording, and test the same skill on another topic. Unlimited analyses let you repeat this loop throughout your access period.
Make feedback answer a decision
A useful comment should lead to an action: add a missing request, reorder two ideas, clarify a reference, repair an agreement pattern or ask a responsive follow-up. If a suggestion is vague, compare it with the prompt and identify the exact reader or listener problem.
Retain your original attempt. Without it, you cannot compare the decision that produced the error with the revision that repaired it.
Correct content before decoration
A sophisticated phrase cannot repair a response that ignores the recipient or required action. First verify relevance and completeness, then organisation, then the language patterns that affect clarity. Stylistic variety comes after those foundations.
Return to your own voice
After studying feedback, close it and produce the passage again. In speaking, record a new answer rather than reading the suggested version. In writing, apply the same principle to a different prompt so your progress does not depend on one corrected text.
Read feedback in a useful order
| Priority | Question | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Task | Did I answer every required action for the intended audience? | Add or replace missing content |
| Organisation | Can someone follow the progression and references? | Move, connect or remove passages |
| Language | Which recurring pattern changes or obscures meaning? | Repair it and create another sentence |
| Style | Can wording become more precise without changing intent? | Choose improvements you can explain |
A five-decision correction path
- 1
Preserve
Keep the first response and the prompt together.
- 2
Prioritise
Select one task or organisation problem before minor edits.
- 3
Explain
State in your own words why the suggested change helps.
- 4
Rewrite
Close the correction and produce the passage independently.
- 5
Transfer
Apply the same operation to a different topic and review it later.
Original example: make a postponement request usable
Practice exercise
A message says: ‘I cannot attend. Please change it. Thank you.’ Feedback notes that the recipient cannot identify the appointment or preferred solution. How should the learner revise?
Suggested answer
I am writing about my appointment scheduled for Thursday at 3 p.m. A work obligation prevents me from attending. Would it be possible to move it to Friday morning or to another time next week? Please let me know which option is available.
Why this answer works
The revision identifies the event, provides sufficient context and offers answerable alternatives.
The learner should now write a different change request without copying the same dates or situation.
Interpret estimates without turning them into official claims
An estimate can help compare attempts made under similar conditions and highlight a skill to review. It cannot reproduce every examiner judgement, official scoring procedure or test-day condition.
Do not use a dashboard estimate as proof of an NCLC level, immigration eligibility or a guaranteed future result. Use official documents for official decisions.
Use fictional details when personal facts are unnecessary
For speaking feedback, return to sound and interaction
A transcript can reveal structure and language, but it does not contain pace, intelligibility or responsiveness. Listen to the original recording, select a short passage and record a new answer without reading the revised text.
For interaction tasks, vary the other person’s reply. A stronger second attempt should respond to the new information rather than reproduce the first corrected exchange.
Challenge feedback that changes the task or your meaning
Compare every substantial suggestion with the instruction. Reject invented details, unsupported certainty and changes of register that do not fit the recipient. Ask what problem the edit is supposed to solve.
This verification is part of learning. AI output is not an authority simply because it is fluent; the learner remains responsible for relevance and truth in the response.
Keep a compact feedback record
For each session, save the prompt, original response, one priority comment, your explanation and the independent rewrite. Add the date on which you will test the same operation again.
A compact record makes recurring patterns visible without producing an overwhelming archive of every automated remark. Promote a problem to the personal checklist only when it appears repeatedly or has high impact.
Frequently asked questions
Should I accept every AI reformulation?
No. Check whether it answers the prompt, preserves your intended meaning and uses language you understand. Keep only changes you can explain.
Does a higher estimate mean I am ready for the exam?
Not by itself. Compare multiple unfamiliar attempts under similar conditions and keep estimates separate from official results.
What is the best task after receiving feedback?
Rewrite the corrected passage independently, then use a different prompt requiring the same operation.
