What you need to know
Twelve weeks allows preparation to change your language habits as well as your test method. The programme is divided into three four-week cycles: build the foundation, control the six productive tasks and comprehension decisions, then transfer everything to timed simulations.
Use four to six sessions a week according to your availability. Every cycle ends with an unfamiliar four-skill checkpoint. Pack Ayoub gives you enough varied material to repeat a method without memorising the answer: more than 5,000 exercises from the 2019–2026 collection, 29 recent writing topics, 29 recent speaking topics, and unlimited feedback during your access.
Weeks 1–4: construct the foundation and an error system
Week 1 establishes the format, target by skill, and diagnostic. Week 2 develops active listening: situation, speaker relationship, intention, decisive detail, and immediate recovery after a missed phrase. Week 3 develops purposeful reading: document type, question, evidence, option comparison, and time budget.
Week 4 connects grammar and vocabulary to meaning. Build vocabulary by communicative situation and keep a short list of recurring language errors found in your own work. End the cycle with timed comprehension sets, one writing task, and one speaking recording. Compare causes, not just scores.
Weeks 5–8: master task operations and independent correction
Weeks 5 and 6 focus on writing. Practise useful messages for task 1, organised narratives and comments for task 2, and faithful comparison plus personal position for task 3. Use a checklist before drafting and a high-impact review order after it.
Weeks 7 and 8 focus on speaking. Make task 1 personal answers flexible, task 2 questions genuinely responsive, and task 3 arguments precise enough to develop. Record attempts, examine Pack Ayoub feedback, then close it and perform the task again. The independent repetition is what turns feedback into skill.
Weeks 9–10: transfer methods across unfamiliar topics
At this stage, stop measuring success by recognition. Choose new topics and preserve the same operations: evidence in reading, intention in listening, functional paragraphs in writing, and developed examples in speaking. Mix skills during the week so switching no longer feels disruptive.
Run one broad simulation each week. Review the first within 24 hours and design three short drills from its error patterns. The second simulation should test those exact mechanisms on different material. A new score matters; a repeated correction matters more.
Weeks 11–12: stabilise, rehearse, and reduce noise
Week 11 includes the final demanding simulation and a complete comparison with weeks 1, 4, and 8. Identify which processes are now reliable and which one or two errors still deserve repetition. Do not rebuild the plan because of one difficult topic.
Week 12 uses shorter, precise sessions. Review task checklists, question forms, argument structures, frequent grammar corrections, and recovery routines. Confirm centre details and protect rest. The objective is to arrive with a method you have already executed many times.
The twelve-week Pack Ayoub roadmap
| Cycle | Weeks | Main result |
|---|---|---|
| Foundation | 1–4 | Format, diagnostic, listening, reading, grammar and vocabulary system |
| Task control | 5–8 | Three writing methods and three speaking methods |
| Transfer | 9–10 | Methods reproduced on unfamiliar mixed material |
| Stability | 11–12 | Reliable simulations, final corrections, and logistics |
Measure progress at weeks 1, 4, 8, and 11
| Measure | Weak evidence | Strong evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Comprehension | Recognises a corrected answer | Explains proof and rejects distractors on new material |
| Writing | Copies the model correction | Reproduces the improved operation in a new response |
| Speaking | Delivers one memorised topic | Adapts structure and examples to a changed question |
| Timing | Finishes by guessing or omitting | Completes the task with a preserved review or recovery step |
How to recover after a missed week
- 1
Keep the checkpoint
Use a smaller unfamiliar sample to see what remained stable.
- 2
Retain two priorities
Do not compress every missed exercise into the next seven days.
- 3
Restore frequency
Rebuild short recurring sessions before adding long simulation blocks.
- 4
Move the calendar
Shift the next broad simulation if there is no time to review it properly.
Frequently asked questions
Who should choose a twelve-week TCF Canada plan?
It suits learners who want time to strengthen language habits, master each task, and complete several reviewed simulations. It is especially useful when multiple skills need development.
How many hours per week are useful?
Five to nine focused hours can support this structure, but consistency and correction quality matter more than a universal number. Adapt session length while preserving frequency and transfer.
Do I need to finish every Pack Ayoub exercise?
No. Select enough varied exercises to prove a mechanism across topics. Completion of the entire collection is less important than independent improvement in the skills you need.
When should I run full simulations?
Use an initial diagnostic, cycle checkpoints around weeks 4 and 8, broader simulations in weeks 9 and 10, and a final demanding rehearsal in week 11.
